The West Seattle Farmer's Market takes over California Ave, the Junction, on Sunday mornings. The wares of local farmers make for a colorful bouquet of scents and flavors from the fresh produce, organic, locally sourced goods and flowers displayed.

July 2, 2016 - Nice Day, Pretty Colors
The Washington State ferry M/V Tokitae unloads at Clinton on Whidbey Island. Tokitae means, "nice day, pretty colors" in Chinook jargon. The 362 foot ferry commissioned in 2014 carries up to 144 vehicles between Mukilteo and Clinton, typically once every half an hour. On today, one of the busiest days of the year the wait for cars to board the ferry was nearly three hours.
On the Mukilteo side of the Tokitae run, a seal takes in the sunshine as visitors take in the view from the Mukilteo Light.

July 1, 2016 - Sculler School
A single sculler from a Lake Union Crew class on Lake Union with Gasworks Park in the background. While a pair in a scull are tailed by a paddling class of a different sort.
Lake Union Crew has rowing classes for individuals of all abilities. The organization is dedicated to "rowing, racing, and giving back to the community" and boast a world class facility on the shores of Seattle's Lake Union.
Oars, Empacher eights and all sizes of sculls line the walls.
The 164 foot motor yacht Eileen heads west towards the Ballard Locks, Puget Sound and destinations unknown. The yacht was originally launched in 2000 by the Italian shipyard Codecasa Yachts. Fourteen guests can "comfortably be accommodated" on this vessel, which is available for charter. There is a spacious master cabin, three double guest cabins, two twin cabins and two pullmans.
